Sketch of Book editing in Paris 1847

General idea

This project is based on the Annuaire de la typographie. It presents the different people working in the book industry in the year 1840. The main idea is to present this workshops with they position in paris to present the presence of the printing industry in Paris.

We imagined a website where a person could see the network needed to publish a book and sell it in bookshops during the mid XIX century.

A map with the recommended workshops for publication. The size of the dots could also show the size of the machinery available from the printer.

If they are available, we could also present snapshots of journals or books printed in specific workshops.
